Man O’War GFC is hosting free 1 hour CPR training sessions on Tuesday 22nd October at 5pm, 630pm and 8pm. This is open to members and non-members age 18 years and over from the local community.
Places are limited and you must register online on https://irishheart.ie/courses/hands-for-life/ and choose one of the 3 Man O’War courses.
We have chosen a Tuesday evening when there are many adults at the club while training is on.
This Irish Heart Foundation course concentrates on recognising cardiac arrest, making the emergency call, listening to the call taker and knowing your Eircode, practice of compression-only CPR on a manikin, awareness of how to use an AED Defibrillator, how to help someone who is choking, how to perform CPR on a child, recognising stroke and the difference between a cardiac arrest and a heart attack.
Man O’War GFC has partnered with The Irish Heart Foundation, who are aiming to create a nation of lifesavers across Ireland. #HandsForLife is supported by @Abbott and @ESB Networks.
