Safe Return to Gaelic Games in Phase 3 and beyond

Last updated on 23rd June 2020: The Man O’War GFC Executive is adopting the procedures and requirements outlined in the “Guidelines on Safe Return to Gaelic Games” from the joint Gaelic sporting organisations. This is part of Phase 3 of Ireland’s roadmap to ease restrictions during the Covid-19 pandemic. Our Guidelines on Safe Return to Gaelic Games is based on the version from the joint Gaelic organisations dated 12th June 2020.

All the latest GAA guidelines can be found on the Covid 19 Education hub.

The Club Executive has put a plan in place to allow teams to resume training under these new procedures in Phase 3. Phase 3 is now scheduled to start on Wednesday 24th June for adults teams and Saturday 27th June for juvenile teams.

Club insurance and the player injury fund only apply if individuals, teams and our club are compliant with all requirements from the GAA/LGFA. It’s everyone’s personal responsibility to be compliant before training starts and then to follow all the new procedures once training resumes.

All players age 18 years+, mentors/coaches and parents of juvenile players age under 18 years are required to complete two tasks before their first training session:

eLearning Module – complete the eLearning module and retain a screenshot or printout of the certificate of completion for your team’s Covid Supervisor.

Online Health Screening: complete your health screening on this central GAA/LGFA database. The Covid Supervisor for your team can track that you have completed this task.
